Educational Assistant - Kitscoty Elementary School

Kitscoty Elementary School is seeking a full time educational assistant for the 2022-2023
school year. Under direction of the teachers and other professionals, the successful
candidate will assist with identified students and/or groups by implementing individualized
and/or group programs. You will be a valued member of the school community, staff and
the multidisciplinary team.


Qualifications:
1. Minimum High School Diploma. Recognized post-secondary certificate in
childcare/development would be an asset.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills


Responsibilities may include (under the direction of the teacher or administrator):


- Implementing educational instruction to identified students including researching,
   preparing and collecting materials and supplies.
- Assisting in appropriate student data collection, monitoring, observation and reporting to
   the classroom teacher and or Inclusive Learning teacher on student progress.
- Collaboratively modifying classroom and curriculum materials to meet the student and/or
   group's specific needs.
- Knowledge/experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder would be an asset
- Knowledge/experience in SIVA or similar training would be considered an asset
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate.
