BTPS Hosts Leah Goldstein for Students

Buffalo Trail Public Schools hosted a virtual student engagement with an inspirational keynote speaker and author, Leah Goldstein. In 2020-2021, J.R. Robson student, Kira Jaremco, spoke about Leah as someone who is a role model for students. Planting this seed led to bringing Leah into BTPS for our students. All grade 7-12 students were able to participate and listen to Leah’s story.

Leah is the first woman to win Race Across America. She is also a martial artist turned world champion kickboxer turned Israeli secret police turned pro cyclist. She shared some of her experiences with BTPS students which led them to check out her book No Limits. She speaks about resilience and ensuring that one always gives their best effort. Her story has many challenges, and she shares how she overcame these challenges to be successful in her goals.

This is just one of the amazing opportunities for our BTPS students. Virtual options have brought us many opportunities and connections with people who we would not generally have the chance to meet.

This was an opportunity for students from various schools to participate with introductions and thanks to Leah. Our BTPS students spoke well, represented our schools great and greeted our guest with a warm-hearted welcome and thoughtful reflection on her presentation.
