Passport to the Internet - Alberta Education has signed a licensing agreement with Media Awareness Network for their Passport to the Internet online student resource, which is aimed at helping students to develop critical thinking skills for their online experiences.   Information on online safety, authenticating online information, recognizing online marketing ploys, protecting privacy, managing online relationships and dealing with cyberbullying is part of the Passport to the Internet.

 

www.media-awareness.ca Media Awareness Network and its Web Awareness Program features lesson plans, classroom activities, background articles and Canadian resources for media education.  It also offers practical tips for helping parents manage media in the home. 

 

www.cyberbullying.ca This is a great resource site for teachers, parents and students (only available in English).
